Despite battling cancer herself, Stafon poured her heart into helping families facing similar struggles. Her unwavering faith and dedication to others led to the creation of this foundation, which continues to support children with cancer and their families. Stafon passed away in 2021, reuniting with Rae-Rae, but her love and spirit keep the mission going.

The CNJ Foundation was established in memory of Cherae "Rae Rae" Jackson, who was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in 1998 and passed away on September 9, 1999. Cherae was a bright, spirited child with a playful side that brought joy to everyone around her. She helped raise awareness of her condition and asked her family to honor her legacy. Through the foundation, her memory lives on.

Kaila, the oldest daughter of Stafon and big sister to Rae-Rae, currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband, children, and dog. Kaila has experienced firsthand the challenges of caregiving, including needing assistance and supporting family members battling cancer.
